The Hydroseeding Phenomenon
Hydroseeding was invented in the early 1950's as a method by which to combine both grass seed and fertilizer for seeding large tracts of land, especially areas that were inaccessible or unsuitable for conventional methods. Since that time, it has grown to become the method of choice for seeding residential lawns, golf courses, highway roadsides, commercial tracts, and more.
The Industry Difference
Unlike conventional broadcast seeding methods, modern hydroseeding (or hydromulching) combines both the seed and the mulch that will protect that seed during its critical germination and early growth periods. As mentioned above, it can also include fertilizer to augment the growth of that grass. This combination of ingredients is called a "slurry", and it's the specific ingredients and amounts included in the slurry that will (for the most part) dictate the success of a particular seeding project. This is, of course, the primary strength of hydroseeding, in that any number of combinations of seed, fertilizer, mulch, dye and other ingredients can be utilized to yield the best results for a particular project, terrain, climate, budget, etc. It is this versatility, combined with its overall effectiveness and, perhaps more importantly, it's cost-effectiveness, that has created the high demand that hydroseeding enjoys today.
The Eden Difference
But make no mistake. Not all hydroseeding is created equally. Rarely will you find two contractors who use the same mixture. But even if you did, you would quickly discover that one contractor's application of the slurry was superior to another's. This is why it is critical that you work with an experienced hydroseeding company like Eden Hydroseeding. Our wealth of experience in the hydroseeding industry, combined with our modern, state-of-the-art equipment, proven application methods, and proprietary slurry mixtures have consistently yielded the kind of results that justify our claim as "The Hydroseeding Experts".
