A World of Options
The bottom line is that any type of grass seed can be used in a hydroseeding project. Of course, in various climates and soil conditions throughout the world, different types of grasses will in fact do better than others. In the Southeast Texas area, we can spray yard-type bermudas, zoysia, centipede grass, buffalo grass and others. We can also provide different types of pasture grasses and seed blends for forage. Finally, we can seed food plots for wildlife and a wide variety of wildflowers.
The types of grasses chosen for your project will largely depend on your terrain and project layout. For example, you might use one type of seed for a showpiece front lawn, and another type entirely for shady areas. If you have areas that would be difficult or even impossible to cut, you might opt to have an assortment of wildflowers applied instead of (or in addition to) the grass seed. Combining different types of seed can make for the perfect application for your lawn, golf course, or commercial project.
